The division of Business and Financial Affairs (BFA) includes Facilities Development & Operations; Finance & Business Services; Human Resources; Risk, Ethics, Safety & Resilience; Strategy, Management & Budget; University Police; University Policy & Public Records; and the Vice President for BFA's Office.

Human Resources supports current and perspective employees in areas such as benefits, employee and labor relations, leaves of absence, medical accommodations, employment information, recruitment, onboarding, payroll and HR Information services.

SMB serves as the budget development, analysis, financial planning, and strategic management lead for WWU. This unit also includes the division Budget Director and BFA Communications.

University Police

The University Police Department is comprised of four areas of operation, who report to the Chief of Police: University Police, Dispatch, Records/Administration, and Greencoats.
