WWU Transportation Advisory Committee

The WWU Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) aims to build on Western Washington University’s status as a leader in transportation and sustainability, making transportation safe, accessible, intuitive, and connected in and around Western campuses. The TAC will promote sustainable transportation for all ages and abilities, benefiting both the university and the broader community. The committee will provide transportation recommendations on infrastructure, business plans, programs, projects, and policy with a strong consideration for equity, sustainability, efficient land use, environmental impacts, and safety. The primary objective of this committee is to have an established internal review process, providing Western with a comprehensive perspective of transportation.

Accountability 

  • The Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs (VP BFA) will oversee the committee’s activities and review advisory recommendations. The Chair will report advisory recommendations to the VP BFA following each meeting.
  • The committee’s charter, minutes, current membership, and contact information will be posted on the committee’s webpage.

Meetings

Meetings shall be called by the Chair. Committee meetings will be held at a minimum quarterly. Subcommittees may be formed at the discretion of the committee.
