Executive Director for University Residences
Leonard Jones holds a master’s degree in education, with a higher education emphasis, from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and is executive director of University Residences at Western Washington University. Prior to his current position, Leonard spent six years from 2004 to 2010 working at one of the nation’s largest Historically Black College and University, North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.
With over 30 years of campus housing experience, and with initial on the ground involvement with the Minority and Friends Network at the Oshkosh Placement Exchange, Leonard remains passionate in bringing “to practice” diversity aspects into the college and university housing experience. Finally, Leonard believes campus-housing professionals must strategically foster and strengthen the inclusion commitment in a collaborative way that fosters networking, professional sharing, along with training and modelling for early entry professionals.
